TESTING MAKEUP NO.5 SUQQU Designing Color Eyes 02 Hikaritouka & 03 Benimiyabi Swatches & Review

This blog post will stick on the swatches of new SUQQU Designing Color Eyes eyeshadows, which are 02 Hikaritouka and 03 Benimiyabi. These days They are available at Selfridges. Co in UK, and  I found that the price in UK is much cheaper than its in Japan. However they were sold out after the launch at Selfridges. Co  online. But since most of colours are regular rather than limited edition, they will be available after restock.

Let’s jump into the products:

02 HIKARITOUKA

This time SUQQU updated their official product description in English. Since I don’t know Japanese at all, English is such a good alternative for me. I could finally have a accurate knowledge about these products.

From the SUQQU UK ‘s description,

“02 (Bright Orange & Reddish Brown) Brightening, radiance boosting orange with reddish brown.”

When the first time I opened  02 in a gloomy afternoon, the bright orange colour popped out and shouted ” Wow” in my head. Under the awful, dark light the vivid colour really cheered me up. 02 has more orangey and warm tone colour than the neutral and cool tone colour that  SUQQU eyeshadows used to be.  Generally the colour extension of SUQQU is wider than before, which offers more choices for everyone. I can’t wait to test 02 out and see how it goes on my eyes.

Reviews & Thoughts

I have cool tone Asian skin, which is kind of rare. But I am not very fair. These 2 eyeshadow are both neutral to warm, which I really scared they would be weird on my eyelids.

Next I want to talk them respectively:

02 has such a stunning colour match, which contains subtle shimmer whilst not flaunt at all. The orange colour could bright up the expression in my eyes beautifully. The brown colour in the bottom right has orangey red in it which is really delicate. I found that using a eyeliner brush to apply the brown shade in the roots of lashes instead of eyeliner, could give more natural effects than a eyeliner. I didn’t use any eyeliner products in my swatches and try-ons. The orangey red could give the eyeliner more interesting  layer and textures which I love so much.

But the bright orange shade turns dark after wearing for 3 or 4 hours. The shade has turned into a orangey light warm brown.  But the darken effect is still natural rather than weird.

03 is more vivid than it shows in the palette. The saturation of the warm red is light, with the subtle shimmer the colour pay off has a beautiful sheer effect. Wearing it on the eyelids also looks comfortable and natural, not flirty or sexy.  I used the khaki shade  as eyeliner, which is really light but could pop the lash out crazy (of course with mascara)! The khaki shade is not as special as the orangey red brown shade is 02, but it could give the makeup a simple and elegant balance to the warm red shade.

The warm red shade could stay fresh about 5 to 6 hours and then it turns a little dark.

In general these two palette are really cute and have a better colour pay off than the 101. They both suit for natural makeup and could give more fun than a simple nude look.

What I like most is the 02’s colour match, especially the bottom right shade, which reminds me of the eyeliner shade in the old SUQQU eyeshadows 05, they are both delicate and subtle to give a feminine eyeliner.

So this is TESTING MAKEUP NO.5, if you have any thoughts or comments please share with me!
